The Big Move!

Yesterday Jeff Stones and I said goodbye to the home where we founded and ran the hub of Chain Reaction Ministries for over 10 years. From our humble beginnings of answering the call of an assistance ministry in old Spring Branch in Houston, to the expansion to three other cities, we had called Memorial Drive Christian Church in Bunker Hill home. The church was sold, and the new owners allowed us to operated for a year while them made capital improvements around us. For that we are grateful. It allowed us to have continuity in ministry while the church underwent a rebirth.

So we did to! We bought a 20' shipping container, build a frame for our slatwall to hang wheels, and moved all the shelving and parts. Our new home is at 1809 Hollister St., new home of Open Door Christian Church, in old Spring Branch! We will be resuming our monthly workdays in October, along with a needed ReCycle Day where we ask the community to donate unwanted bicycles.

Things will look a little different. We won't accept daily drop offs of donations. We will be hauling bikes in an out on each workday (because obviously the container won't hold any). But we will be continuing the ministry and our mission - providing basic transportation to folks needing them in order to get to work and access to good and services. "Transportation For All."

If you have read all of this, you may be asking "How can I serve? How can I donate?" You can still donate at www.chainreactionbikes.org. You can also email us through the website with a request to donate bikes and parts. We will do our best to get to you, but the easiest way is to see on a Saturday at our new location when we have a workday. We will be posting a schedule of workdays soon. We also maintain our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ChainReactionMinistries.

From all of us at Chain Reaction Ministries, we thank you for your ongoing support, prayers, donations, and stories of the simple gift of a bicycle. Ride On!
